My goal as an educator is to inspire students to become lifelong learners, and to encourage them to think critically about how their actions will impact the world around them. As a result of my instruction, my students will not only increase their technical facility on their instrument, but also hone their critical thinking, problem solving and musicianship skills. By cultivating these skills, students will become independent musicians with the knowledge and experience to plan and execute successful performances, balance their personal and professional responsibilities, and understand how and where to search for answers to their own questions.
